Artist  Statement

From Lone Pine to Mono Lake and June Lake, the Eastern Sierra draws me into a landscape of towering mountains, quiet waters, open valleys, and ever-changing light. I am especially drawn to the contrast between the rugged Sierra Nevada and the stillness of its lakes, where reflections and seasonal changes continually transform the scene.

Through photography, I seek to capture both the grandeur and quieter moments of this landscape—from first light on the mountains to autumn colors along the shore. These photographs are an exploration of the enduring relationship between mountains, water, and time.

ローンパインからモノ湖、ジューン・レイクへと続くイースタン・シエラの風景に、私はそびえ立つ山々、静かな湖、広がる谷、そして刻々と変化する光の美しさを感じます。険しいシエラネバダ山脈と湖面の静けさ、その水面に映る山々や季節の移ろいが、同じ風景を何度も新たな表情へと変えていきます。

写真を通して、私は山々の壮大さだけでなく、山肌を照らす朝の光や湖畔を彩る秋の色彩など、風景の中にある静かな瞬間も捉えたいと考えています。これらの写真は、山と水、そして時間が織りなす、変わることのないつながりを探るものです。
