Artist Statement

The Grand Circle, including Monument Valley, Arches, Canyonlands, Antelope Canyon, and Horseshoe Bend, reveals a landscape shaped by millions of years of wind, water, and time. As a photographer, I am drawn to the interplay of light, shadow, and the remarkable forms of the desert.

I am also mindful that these landscapes hold the history and living cultural traditions of Native American peoples who have called this region home for generations. Through my photographs, I seek to express not only the beauty of these places, but also their enduring sense of time, silence, and spiritual presence.

モニュメントバレー、アーチーズ、キャニオンランズ、アンテロープキャニオン、ホースシューベンドを含むグランドサークルは、何百万年もの風と水、そして時間によって形づくられた大地の姿を見せてくれます。写真家として私は、光と影の interplay、そして砂漠に刻まれた驚くべき造形に惹かれています。

また、これらの風景が、何世代にもわたってこの地を故郷としてきたネイティブアメリカンの人々の歴史と、今も息づく文化的伝統を宿していることを心に留めています。写真を通して私は、これらの場所の美しさだけでなく、そこに流れる時間、静けさ、そして精神的な存在感も表現したいと考えています。
